Video is an arena where I am a complete infant. But that doesn't mean I try. Flip cameras come with built in software that is intuitive and easy to use. Here is a video I made today in about 2 hours using this technology from flip:
HEY FLIP, WANT TO SPONSER MY NEXT TOUR???

huh, that's interesting. i actually know how to edit video pretty well (i did it in school and wanted to get into it as a career - and then the recession happened.)
i've never heard of flip. seems pretty handy, though!
yeah the flip camera is very handy. Maybe someday you can help me make a real video. .. With a shoestring budget I have to focus on DIY (do it yourself) efforts. But as I continue down this path of living I hope to create a DIT (do it together) movement in the singer-songwriter, alternative music realm. This recession has been hard on a lot of people. I was let go from a marketing company after over five years of outstanding service. They also let go people that had been there for 20+ years. Last night I was listening to Woody Gutherie and realize it is just a cycle. Back in the 20's we were far "worse" off than we are now. We just need to open our eyes and realize that material gain is an illusion. True happiness is a frame of mind. I hope you can find a way to put your video services to use. Maybe we can do a mini-tour in the midwest - you set up a few shows around the area and I'll open for you. Then I'll do press releases and social media planning. This will work if we hit Minneapolis, St. Paul and Madison. Let me know your thoughts. We hold on to plans loosely knowing that the best ones grow legs. . . and then we run toward the prize!
